Getting the right fit makes all the difference between a wig that feels secure and natural, and one that slips or pinches. Here's how to find your size in under two minutes.

How to measure your head

Using a soft measuring tape, measure around your head starting at your hairline in front, going around behind your ears, across the back at the nape of your neck, and back to the front. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

Standard cap sizes

• Small: 21 – 21.5 inches (53 – 54.5 cm)
• Medium: 22 – 22.5 inches (56 – 57 cm) — most common size, fits the majority of customers
• Large: 23 – 23.5 inches (58.5 – 59.5 cm)

Every MeltedHair wig ships with an adjustable strap inside the cap, giving you roughly 1–1.5 inches of flexibility, plus secure combs at the sides and back. This means a Medium cap comfortably fits most Small-to-Large head sizes without any additional purchase or customization.

Choosing your density

Density refers to how full the wig looks — not the cap size. 150% gives a natural, everyday fullness. 180–200% adds noticeably more volume while still looking realistic. 250%+ (High/Extra/Super Density) is for anyone who wants maximum volume and glamour. If you're unsure, 180% is the most popular choice among our customers for an everyday look with extra body.

Choosing your lace size

13x4 and 13x6 frontal lace give you the most versatile parting space, letting you part your hair anywhere across the front. 4x4 and 5x5 closures offer a smaller, more affordable lace area great for center or slightly off-center parts. 360 lace wigs allow a full circle part, ideal for high ponytails and updos.
